30 Minute Chickpea and Potato Curry (Vegan)

Quick Chickpea Curry in 30 Minutes


  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 6 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 3 green chilies, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoons of Chinnar Original Spice Mix
  • 2 tablespoons of butter or oil of your choice
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup of chickpeas
  • 3 cups of water
  • Fresh coriander, chopped (optional)


  1. Prepare Base: Combine onions, garlic, ginger, tomato, chilies, and salt with 1 cup of water in a pot. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Create Puree: Mash the simmered mixture into a puree.
  3. Spice It Up: Add 2 tablespoons of oil and 2 teaspoons of Chinnar Original Spice Mix to the puree. Cook for another 10-15 minutes.
  4. Add Remaining Ingredients: Incorporate diced potatoes and chickpeas into the pot.
  5. Boil and Simmer: Add 2 cups of water, bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Serve hot with rice or naan. Optionally, garnish with freshly chopped coriander.
